It is only right to make copies of the President's assets declaration form available to the public.

President @MBuhari and Vice President @ProfOsinbajo declared thier assets fulfilling the constitutional requirements. The duo should make copies available to the public as promised during APC campaigns.

In June of 2009 Late President Umar Yar'adua made photocopies of his duly and honestly completed assets declaration form available to the Nigerian people. It did not stop the relevant authorities from investigating and making enquiries.

The promise made to the Nigerian people was not to fulfill constitutional requirements but to go a step further by making it available to the public.

It is not the responsibility of the people to seek FOI request for copies, it is the responsibility of those who make promises to the people to fulfill the promises made.

I am hopeful that withing the coming week, copies of the assets declaration forms will be and should be made available to the Nigerian people.
